OUR ORGANIZATION-
Plumas County Search and Rescue (PCSAR) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to serving Plumas County, California in the diversified challenges of search and rescue. The team responds to approximately 90 calls a year that range from overdue persons, technical rescue, dive rescue and recovery, to out of county mutual aid. We are dispatched by the Plumas County Sheriff's Office. Along with our primary focus on saving lives, we also assist in emergency evacuations and notifications due to forest fires or other hazardous incidents. Wilderness awareness and safety education is promoted through attendance at public events and participation in local forums.
